How do I redeem a gift card for a course?
What payment methods can I pay with?
When purchasing on line you can pay with a credit card. When visiting the shop you can pay in cash or credit. At this time we do not have a debit option.
Can I come to the shop?
Customers are welcome to come to the shop but we require you to make an appointment first by sending us and email or phone call 24hrs in advance.
When can I expect my store order?
Our turnaround time on shipping a store item is 3 days to 1 week, depending on order volume. If your item is out of stock or needs to be made like hammers and tongs. Your order may take to 2-4 weeks to ship. Please contact us if you need and exact date.
When should I book a course?
When deciding to book a course we recommend booking 1 month in advance to ensure the date you would like. Courses are first come and we generally book up a month in advance.
I don’t see a booking date for the 10 day course?
The 10 day course is scheduled based on demand. Once an email requesting the course is sent we then work with the participant on a date. The date for these courses is generally scheduled 1.5 months in advance.
Do Course Prices Include Tax?
Yes the price you see includes tax. The course rate is $250.00 +HST
My credit card isn't accepted?
In many cases Square and PayPal do not seem to function with certain web browser like Internet Explorer. Try switching your browser to Google Chrome.
How old do you need to be to participate?
Any participants need to be 14 yrs of age or older. Any one 16yrs of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone under the age of 18 must have thier waivers signed by and adult or legal gaurdian.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds on anytype of purchase are issued at the sole discretion of Vans Blacksmithing. Refunds may only be issued up to 30 days from the transaction date. We may decide to only offer an in store credit. Cancellations less than 72hrs in advanced or "no shows" will not be entitled to any refund or credit and the entire amount paid will be forfeit. Please review our booking policy for further details.
How do I book for more than one person?
When booking for a group make sure to select a date that has enough spots. There will be a drop down menu for participants on the "add your info" page that shows you how many spots are left. If there is no menu that means there is only one spot left.
How do I know how many spots are left in a course?
When you click on a course date and it takes you to the "Add you Info" page you should see a drop down menu for particpants. This will allow you to select as many spots as are available. If there is no menu then there is only 1 spot left for that class.
